“ The family that eats together stays together.”
Do you still eat and dine together as a family? In this age of advanced technology, we easily get distracted with gadgets and computers that it affects our ability to connect with the important people around us. We become disconnected. When my dad was still alive, he encouraged us to eat together as a family. We had a hard time coping up because of our different schedules but my dad found a way to bring us together.
Jesus instituted the Sacrament of the Eucharist so we can be re-united with our Lord and the whole Church every time we celebrate the Holy Mass – that is why I love our Catholic Faith. In Luke 22:19 it says, Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God. Then He broke it into pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.”
The Holy Eucharist and the Sacraments are the lasting gifts that Jesus gave us – to remember Him and to reconnect with Him so that our hearts would be open to receive His amazing grace.
